CMHVI provides
a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program for it patients.
Phase I - Cardiac Rehabilitation
Phase I occurs during hospitalization. Each patient is provided with individualized
education about how his or her heart works, and also start a progressive exercise
program, as he or she is preparing to return home.
Phase II - Cardiac Rehabilitation
This part of the rehabilitation program begins anywhere from two weeks to three
months after discharge from the hospital. The emphasis of Phase II is to improve
activity tolerance and assist in adjusting to a heart-healthy lifestyle.
Phase III - Cardiac Rehabilitation
People at high risk for cardiac disease or those who have graduated from Phase
II can join this medically supervised group exercise program.
